I have a few concerns:
1. The person at the register seemed completely uninterested in helping me. After I provided my name and phone number, she noticed I was still waiting but didn't offer any updates. I would have expected some communication about my order status.
2. My order was marked as picked up in the app after 8 minutes, even though my food was clearly not ready. This makes me think the restaurant's focus is more on appearing efficient rather than actually being efficient.
3. After such a long wait, when I finally got to sit down with my family, the table and chairs at the booth were dirty, which was surprising since the place was relatively empty at the time.

I've been to this location a few times and the service has never been great but today was ridiculous!! I ordered the new holiday Sugar Plum Shake and a side of fries. I received the fries within two minutes of ordering. The Shake? I waited. Waited. Waited. When I inquired where it was they had no clue what I was taking about. I had to show them my receipt and then the workers continued to chat amongst themselves some more while I continued to wait. It took 22 minute from the time I ordered until I received my Shake!! Well I was hoping to help raise the 2.5 stars but I'm afraid I'm giving it one star. My burger was very small, tasted good although I could see part of my patty missing (see pictures) AND my one piece of crappy lettuce was old and nasty. The mushroom burger was good, again slightly over priced for what you get and two of my mushrooms were inedible. I couldn't bite through them. Very odd. My cheese fries tasted great where covered with cheese (about half) And my parmigiana cheese fries were weak all around besides both orders were only warm upon sitting down inside the restaurant. Trashiest shake shack on the eastern seaboard. If you have a pick up order, you literally have to ask if it 's been made rather than them calling your name. After a few minutes had past my pick up time and my name was not called I figured I would ask if there was an order for 'xyz ' ... then, the ONE person I could actually get to make eye contact with me grabs a bag that had been sitting for God knows how long. Shittiest food service I 've ever had the misfortune of experiencing. I will start making the drive to Paramus again next time I have a craving for shake shack... never going back to this pathetic excuse of a shack shake. Such a shame

I 'm not a big review writer but this one is especially deserved! My family went here tonight for the first time, The food was great and the service was even better. Specifically Brandy she went above and beyond to make our experience positive and my daughter feel special. Thank you for such amazing customer service. Our 4yo daughter is currently in the car on the way home making up her own song Shake Shack I Love you haha
I've got big love for how SS creates a seared crust, trapping the delicious burger juices inside, ready and waiting for ravenous, appreciative bite after bite. Hits the spot when you can't get to Madison Square Park for some OG Shack Burgers, fries and black white milkshakes. Danny Meyer and his Union Square Hospitality Group have finally put Nanuet on the mod burger map.
Would be a 3 star review, but they ask you to tip when you pay. What kind of nerve is it to ask for a tip in advance on fast food? the cashier is watching me, so i felt obligated to tip, but really this is some b tipping is only for full service and definitely not in advance. food is like wendy's or five guys with shakes and beer and wine. big deal..
I absolutely love the double burgers at Shake Shack. The meat is cooked perfectly, and the classic combination of lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and Shack sauce is fantastic. I really enjoy the atmosphere and the service as well. I’ll definitely be coming back more often!
