I would rate my experience at Shake's Frozen Custard tonight as 2.5 out of 5 stars. The line was slow-moving, but I didn’t mind since I rolled down the windows, opened the sunroof, and just relaxed. Having worked a drive-thru before, I understand that fresh food can take time. What bothered me was how the employees handled the long line. I pulled up next to the door near the menu, and an employee opened the door and stared at me without saying a word. Assuming I was supposed to order, I went ahead, but they didn’t acknowledge or repeat my order. They just closed the door without any explanation. Love the custard! My favorite is the Red Velvet Concrete. My trip over the weekend was disappointing, but had nothing to do with the custard. While waiting in the drive thru, we saw two young guys standing out in the parking lot with aprons on smoking what smelled like pot. We were at the end of the line and by the time we got up to the window, one of the guys took our order. The foul odor was in fact pot. However, the guy was very kind, polite and quickly served us. My mom ended up declining on getting a cold treat because she felt as if it was unprofessional and unclean. Hope they do better but love my custard!!
I stopped by Shake's Frozen Custard today for a simple cone and was greeted by friendly, genuinely kind staff. When my two-scoop cone arrived, I was delighted by the generous portion size! It was both delicious and satisfying, bringing back memories of the cones I enjoyed as a child. Unlike most places that offer soft serve or yogurt, this felt like a classic ice cream shop from my old neighborhood. Thanks, Shake’s, for a wonderful experience!
As I approached closing time, cars were lined up along the street, and both windows were busy with customers. I didn’t really notice it at first. I was driving behind a police officer in his cruiser when I suddenly woke up just in time to slam on the brakes before hitting the car in front of me. Traffic had moved forward a bit, about two car lengths.

My mother first brought me here when I was fifteen. Now, at twenty-two, this is still my favorite spot to enjoy a limeade. The limeade is beautifully tangy—very lime-forward, crisp, and refreshingly sour! As always, the service is excellent and the staff are wonderful. Thank you!
I truly love their milkshakes! They offer customizations with whatever you desire. My favorite is the banana shake topped with pecans and whipped cream. It's so delicious!
It was a tornado right over SHAKES, but someone was still there for me to pick up my order, it was GREAT ?and service was awesome ???
