Shakou St. Charles

Me and my husband tried out this restaurant for our wedding anniversary. What an amazing experience! We started off with the chef's choice nigiri, which we had never had before. Each piece was delicious! We both got drinks: him a beer, and I got the claus-mopolitan. Yummy!! Then we split the Barramundi: sea bass cooked in parchment paper. Oh my god, it was so good! The potato croquettes were very good, but they have Sweet Baby Ray's on them. Wasn't expecting that! This was an amazing experience and we look forward to coming back in the future

I really enjoyed my experience here. Pete the bartender was funny and courteous. He made an excellent blackberry iced tea that was so flavorful with a hint of Thai to it. There is not a bad thing I can say about this place. The food was delicious and fresh and everyone was friendly. I definitely will return and seek out Pete for more tea and kind service. Kudos!

Honestly this is some of the worst sushi I’ve ever had. I think gas station sushi is a step up from this. And we paid $94 for 3 rolls and Edamame which was also flavorless. Only 1/3 people in our party had a good experience. The black tuxedo and ocean signature rolls were flavorless and I was forcing it down with much struggle. Praying I don’t get sick tonight.

Food is pretty good and the drinks are great. Service on the second floor was very very slow, and we often found ourselves waving to get the server's attention. Service on the first floor is much better. The big screen TVs are a strange addition. Réservez une table maintenant

The venue was stunning, trendy. Food was delicious but service was slow. Appeared understaffed though our waitress was enthusiastic and as attentive as she could be covering the entire second level

Awesome sushi place. Love the food and ambiance a very cool place. Will definitely be back again. Perfect spot for sushi and a drink right off main street. Get the Ocean Drive sushi roll...Amazing!

Unfortunately I paid $22 for this. I know sushi can be expensive but I find this to be a huge rip off. I also asked for extra soy sauce and got two packets. I will not be going back.

It’s a bit too expensive, but admittedly the golden lobster is amazing, we prob visit monthly, the only complaint I have is the price. One roll of golden lobster is $26. Réservez une table maintenant

It was my first time here and I definitely will be back. The food is great, the restaurant is beautiful and the staff are very friendly!

OMG, the best sushi I've had in a long time. The service was excellent, and the drinks were amazing.
