I had no issues with this restaurant until last night. I ordered a battered fish with chips, cheese, and curry sauce, as well as a cheeseburger. The chips were cold, the fish seemed like it was frozen and reheated, and the burger was just okay. I also ordered Ben & Jerry's ice cream, but it never arrived and I eventually gave up trying to contact the restaurant. I ended up being charged £6 for something I never received. Consider that my last tip, as I will not be ordering from here again. I should have known better, as no takeaway in Rosyth or Dunfermline ever includes the ice cream or drink. I wasted £28 on this experience.
I ordered Nan bread and chicken tikka masala. The Nan bread was essentially just baked pizza dough folded in half, which was very disappointing. The chicken tikka masala was also not good. The sauce seemed to be made only with sour tomatoes and some nut pastes (probably almonds). The curry was overly sweet and sour, and the chicken pieces were not fresh. The name "Shalimar" seems to be a misleading attempt to portray themselves as an Indian/Pakistani cuisine takeaway restaurant. It feels like these cooks are amateurs who are learning through YouTube. I will not be returning here again. Thank you.
Chicken was raw/chewy In the kebab, I asked for large chicken kebab, received a kebab with donnar meat and little awful textured chicken. Hungry husband. For the price is was not the quality it used to be . Disappointed won't be back . Told after I phoned that I needed to state only chicken I asked for a large chicken kebab) not sure how clearer I could be. And I live too far to send a delivery I collected) and an extra something in next order was offered......... I won't be back
Got a pizza and took in the wee boy who is non verbal autistic and loves to flap. The kids chap behind the counter was so nice and accommodating cooking his pizza first so he didn’t have to wait and at the end the kind man gave him a free chocolate bar. Not often you get a good service for kids with special needs but this chap was really kind. Thank again. Tristan Service: Take out

Disappointed, unable to eat the lamb, donor meat not as good as I expected. Lots of nice salad though and chilli sauce. Won’t be ordering again though, very expensive for what you get. Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40

The food was good and the delivery was fast. However, I was unsure about the ingredients used in the salad as it appeared to be an unnatural shade of green.
