Our party had the koobideh and the barg. I can confidently say that the Koobideh is the best Koobideh I’ve ever had in the USA. It can benefit from teeny tiny bit more of onion and salt in the Koobideh mix. That said, I’d rather add the salt myself than have a salty kabob. I did not have the barg myself but according to my friends their barg is a strong 9/10. Their service was very attentive and fast. They brought bread, cheese, and herbs with walnut to the table. It was a greater starter. Walnuts were very fresh and they made the bread in place. We also had the tahdig appetizer with ghorme and gheyme. If you want recommendations for the appetizer definitely get this. However, I feel like gh...

For a Michelin restaurant, there was nothing impressive or out of the ordinary about Shaalizar. Servers were amazing but the food was average in terms of flavor and presentation. We had to take an outdoor table because indoors was full. The patio has metal and very uncomfortable chairs, so that was our first disappointment. We didn’t wait much for our food but when our main courses arrived, they were not too hot, unfortunately. For a Persian restaurant, the rice portion was generous.

We visited the place on a Friday night, the place was full, but not too crowded, free tables available. Very nice atmosphere, pleasant music, beautiful interior. The entrance was set up for the Persian new year. We ordered a salad, a yogurt, and two main dishes: lamb and cubideh. The service was very fast and polite. A pleasant surprise was a basket with warm freshly baked bread and a plate with cheese, nuts and fresh mint. We paid about 55 usd. Overall, this place is worth a visit.

Authentic Persian Restaurant, we had Kashk-e-bademjan, Fesenjan, Mahi and tea. The food was crazy. The free bread, cheese with herbs and walnuts was very fresh and ingenious. Very good ambience and the service was great. Friendly restaurant. Will go again : Réservez une table maintenant

A truly authentic Persian restaurant in the Bay Area! It was often here and her food was consistently good. You can say they use high quality meat for the kabob! They also have fresh bread in the house. Always a good experience here to dinate;

Your kababab was really good. The lamb and the eggplant stew not soo. The interior and service is really good, the prices are reasonable, but the stew takes a point. There was no meat in it and the presentation was terrible.

Wonderful Persian cuisine. We've been enjoying Shalizaar for years, and I later learned from an Iranian colleague that his is where he and all of his Iranian friends love to go to. He said it's very much a taste of home.

The breast Jooje kebab was delicious and tender. But the tight was a little dry. They bring fresh bread, cheese and walnut for you. The service was really good. Réservez une table maintenant

Very good meal and loved the tea. Try the Shirin Polo Sweet pistachio, almond, and orange peal rice with chicken thighs. Roasted chili on the side. :
