Did a quick SoCal trip this past weekend and our first stop was Shang Jie Kitchen! We had our doggo with us so we decided to do take out instead of eating in. My husband and I decided to share their:#1 Lamb noodle soup with thick noodles It came with wood ear mushrooms, tofu skin, and some vermicelli noodles. The thick noodles were cooked very well with a nice and chewy texture. The real star was the soup base! It was absolutely delicious and contained the right amount of umami to it! It did have lamb flavor but it wasn't too off putting or incredibly gamey. I honestly think they could have even more of that gamey flavor but I do understand it's not everyone's cup of tea. Was craving for some wonton noodle soup due to the weather. I yelped and decided to give this spot a try and glad I did. Unfortunately, this had to be a to go order. I placed an order with the lady at the front. Along with the spicy wontons and an entree of kung pao chicken. Cashier advised me of the 3.5% credit card fee which was fine. After paying she stated 15 minutes. I go wait in my car and literally put a timer for 10 minutes and my order was ready by the time I went backin.In my office unpacking goods. My husband and I decided to order food for delivery from this restaurant after finding it on Yelp, and we were extremely pleased with our choice. I had not experienced authentic Chinese hand-cut noodle beef stew with tendon in a long time, not since my work trips to different parts of China, until last night. My husband really hit the jackpot with his selection, as it was incredibly delicious. I am sure it would taste even better fresh from their kitchen, so I am planning to visit the restaurant soon. It's your typical Chinese restaurant, our server was very nice, but I wish she had warned us that we ordered too much food! It didn't even all fit on our 4-top table. It felt like we ordered everything! Things I would order again: Beef roll (it had pickled mustard greens in it! , Fried pork chop (crazy crispy! , and the green beans. The spicy wontons were quite tasty, but missing something... And the sesame Dan Dan noodles were a little bland in flavor in comparison to all the other dishes. love this place! came on a saturday at 7 and it was virtually empty. the menu is pretty big but anything with the hand made noodles is fantastic. the noodle texture is SO good. i got the cumin lamb dry noodle and the braised beef noodle soup. both were super flavorful and fresh.service was good too (though it was empty so id be surprised if it was bad) there was just 1 person working there and she was super sweet and attentive.portion sizes were really big and we had enough for another meal of leftovers!
Their food here was pretty good overall but the best thing was the scallion pancake; it was the best I've ever tasted. They fried it so perfectly and the amount of green onions was perfect. The spicy wontons were excellent too. Also, they're able to accommodate large groups with their big tables. The service was friendly and quick too. I would totally go back if I were in the area again.
I really hate that, at midnight I suddenly remember their lamb biscuit(yang rou jia mo? . It's sooooo good, my mouth waters remembering the spicy soft lamb inside a-crispy on the outside, soft in the inside-bun. I wish they were open 24 hours. Their xiaolongbao is also very good, more savory than the nearby places(Lunasia or Northern Cafe .
I adore this restaurant!! The Beef Noodle Soup here is some of the best you'll find anywhere. It's incredibly authentic and all the flavors are outstanding. While it may be difficult to spot, it's definitely worth it! The meat was incredibly tender, the pancake was perfectly crisp, and every dish was bursting with flavor.

I saw hair in my food so I rejected to pay tips. After I left, the waitress walked to my car and ask for tips. I feel so weird out today. I requested to talk to management. However they told me the Bussiness owner is not there and I’m not allowed to talk to the business owner.
