I ordered kids' power plates for my two children. My daughter specifically wanted steak, and as she was eating, she bit down on something that turned out to be a piece of metal or plastic. We still haven't determined what it was. Thankfully, she managed to spit it out. It's an experience I've never had before, and the fear and disgust of finding something like that in her meal is unacceptable. Additionally, some pieces of the steak were clearly undercooked. I find it hard to understand why children's meals wouldn’t be prepared correctly. It felt like perhaps we encountered an unusually careless night. Regardless, this experience has left a sour taste, and we won’t be coming back.
I absolutely love the veggie burrito, which is filled with marinated tofu, beans, and grilled vegetables. I also highly recommend the roasted veggie dish, served over rice and quinoa with a delicious vegan pesto sauce. They offer a variety of other vegan options, including salads, and most dishes can be customized with tofu instead of meat. The flavors are fantastic—it's refreshing to find a restaurant in the area that serves quinoa and kale! They also have a salsa bar featuring a tasty avocado salsa and carrots, which are among my favorites. Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu, making it easy to choose.
I love this place! From the moment you walk in your greeted and in a world where customer service is lacking, I appreciate the servers and service! The quality of the food is great and consistent. I can't say enough about the high standard that Sharkeys sets! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
