I reviewed this restaurant really positively at the beginning of the year but Unfortunately it was not the same experience today. I had booked a table for with email confirmation but they had written it down for We waited for about for...a table which wasn’t a problem. Staff were wearing masks but around their chins rather than over their nose or mouth with the exception of the female member of staff. They should either wear them properly or not at all. We had dinner as part of the eat out to help out scheme. Booked the table and it was ready for us when we arrived, staff didn’t feel particularly interested, not rude but not too polite either. Didn’t feel completely welcome, and this was consistent...the whole night. We were well served and didn’t have to wait too long for drinks, poppadoms were a bit stale. But the food was great, arrived in reasonable time considering how busy they were. One downside is that it did feel quite close to table next to us which wasn’t great considering covid and did make us feel a little uncomfortable. Came with a friend and was bluntly told to sit in corner Staff unfriendly. When time for the bill, the waitress couldn't divide the bill in half or get a calculator to help her. When we advised her the correct amount for half, she instead...overcharged me by a pound. Then once her mistake' was pointed out to her (which she just said oops to) she proceded to try to take a second payment for the same incorrect amount which wouldve overcharged us both (We said no And finally, when I asked for my half-finished dishes to be boxed up to take home, I got back to find only there. Alright food but nowhere near worth the hassle and shoddy service embarrassingly poor

Had many takeaways and ate in at Shimla pink many times BUT has now changed hands and is called Elachi. Had a take-away a couple of weeks ago and was pretty awful. Food was tasteless, portions small and took over mins to be delivered....Real shame has changed and would now not touch with a barge pole also still Shimla Pink website is still live so beware as when i called and ordered they did notsay it was no longer Shimla Pink. Have eaten in a few times and the place is variable. Ordered a delivery tonight. It arrived mins after latest estimate and after a couple of calls promising it was on its way Food was distinctly average and barely warm. Lots of better options...locally more deserving of your patronage

Terrible delivery service. Used a few times and promised delivery takes hours over promised time. Not able to contact by phone as they dont answer when they have a backlog. No contact to advise on late delivery. No apology. Better to go elsewhere

Such a shame, has changed hands and didn’t like the food. Had a special offer for early diners but even at a cheap price I wouldn’t eat. No flavour, bad taste and a waste of money. So sorry but not my place to go to...anymore.

This was our first visit since it changed name and moved to new management. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had the Sunday buffet. Food was good and there was a variety of starters and mains available. Reasonably priced. Réservez une table maintenant

Can say much about the food as it has been hours and it is still to be delivered despite (apparently) just coming out the kitchen minutes ago.

Lovely friendly staff and a delicious curry we never knew this place was round the corner! Highly recommended
