Shinbashi Yakiniku

The restaurant is tucked away on a service road at Underwood, Brisbane and apart from shopfront signage there is nothing that sets it off from other retail outlets. Pleasingly though, once inside the decor is very Japanese and the food delicious. We ordered the full BBQ banquet, cooked by us at the table and although we were a group of five there was more than enough for all. The restaurant was somewhat busy for a Wednesday night, but the service was quick and the staff were very pleasant and attentive. As mentioned earlier, the food was delicious with three varieties of beef, pork, prawns, scallops, chicken, edamame, rice, beans and a sweet potato and cheese mixture. The meal was completed...

We ordered the set meal that is supposed to come with oysters but because they ran out of them, they replace them without even consulting with customers first with cheap alternative like fried fish and yet still charging us the same price with the one that came with oyster, after we complained to them, the waiter is very rude and did not even apologized and instead insisted on that they are right, NEVER AGAIN!! Also their BBQ buffet is a scam as well, you ordered something expensive but they didn't send them to your table straight away, instead they would send you the cheap stuff first to fill you up first, not very honest and not friendly at all.

A great way to experience Japanese cuisine for first timers. We had a birthday party of thirty people and the restaurant easily catered for this number (but no more) in a separate dining area. Traditional floor sitting was easily facilitated by legroom below floor under the table. Food was quintessential Japanese and not for big portion eaters. Service was efficient and responsive and managed the large group on an a la carte basis with only minor oversights. Our party of 30 were not exactly a disciplined or experienced restaurant group. Wonderful experience overall.

The best wagyu beef ever tasted.It just melts on my mouth.Signature selection is the best on their menu consist of wagyu strips ,diced wagyu beef and bacon. A must try.

had to constantly ask for the food we ordered to be brought to our table. They only brought out things slowly and every one had what they ordered
