I arrived at 6:00 AM hoping to treat myself to some fresh donuts, but the filled ones were cold, hard, and seemed like they were made the day before. If I hadn’t been on my way out of town, I would have gladly gone back to express my disappointment. I travel frequently for work and usually enjoy Shipley donuts, but this visit was by far the worst experience I've had compared to previous ones. You would expect to receive warm, fresh donuts shortly after they open, but that wasn’t the case at this location in Fort Worth.
Normally Shipley's Donuts are the best anywhere in the city. However this morning I was a little disappointed. While the donuts were good, they were not as good as usual. Somewhat cold, and a little hard. It seems like something went wrong with the fryingas well. The donuts were not the same consistency as normal. This is the only time I've been here that they've ever been likethis so hopefully next time around things will be back to normal.
I really enjoy Shipley, which is why I decided to visit this morning. However, I didn’t stay or place an order because I noticed that the woman filling the jelly donuts wasn't wearing gloves, and the cashier seemed unconcerned about it. Just a heads-up: the donuts you see and order might have been handled with bare hands.
Service was fast but my doughnuts was cold n hard.. I noticed one of the employees touching the doughnuts with her bare hands then wiping her hands on a towel who knows if she was still putting her hands on the food after the fact she wiped her handswith that towel.. I'm not returning to that location..

I love Shipley that's why I came this morning. I didnt stay and didn't order because the lady filling the jelly donuts wasn't wearing gloves and the lady at the counter didn't see a problem with it.Be advised, those donuts you see and order may have been touched with bare hands...
The lady was friendly, as always. However, I haven't visited in a while and I’m unsure how I feel about the $1 price for each glazed donut. Prices have certainly increased. For comparison, I can buy a dozen authentic tamales for the same price.
I like Shipley Do-nuts, but with the recent price hike, it might be more economical for me to buy biscuit dough, sugar, and powdered sugar to make donut holes at home. That being said, the service was excellent and very friendly.
The kolaches are good here. However, the last 3 times I've visited (and before 9am), the donuts weren't fresh. They were a bit browned, and tasted like they were at least a day old. Three strikes you're out, sorry.

I absolutely adore this place! Their donuts are always spot on, served warm and they just melt in your mouth. I used to be a big fan of Krispy Kreme donuts, but then I found Shipley's Doughnuts...
