Used it as a meeting place to meet up with some work colleagues before going on to a restaurant Very friendly bar staff, had no problems opening up a Tab This was a Saturday evening and had some live music on, not my taste in music, but I have to say very well done and all the other revellers really enjoyed it. can’t comment on the food.
(26-12-22) Our seventh and final pub and it was like an old pub with beams inside and a small bar by the door, local beers and big name brewery 's, got served and seated and had a great time, locals friendly and offered us to use the buffet and put 'oasis ' on for us, we loved it.
Live music, Great Local Ales, Relaxed and full of Nice People. They even kept my jacket for me, when I left it.....for a week! After doeing gig nights in Manchester, the Shire was up close and personal.....Spot On the Shire!
It's a spit and sawdust type of pub but the staff are nice and regulars friendly, beer garden good and cheapest round in town so overall a good thumbs up Réservez une table maintenant
Traditional English pub! Went early afternoon as I was waiting for a bus! I really liked the service and the people! Very positive vibe!

"Awful burnt tough chicken couldn’t eat it when eventually we could see a staff member to raise our issue she was very good to deal with the issue and we were offered cake or a drink not great service really wasn’t even busy very disappointing"
