We had dinner here on a Saturday evening without a booking. Its a small place and the staff are friendly and efficient. However, we were somewhat disappointed with our meals. While the portion size was good, the lamb was tough and the fat had not been rendered down; and the sides of vegetables were frozen veges. The veal in mushroom sauce was cooked ok, with lots of mushrooms in the sauce, but again the fat on the meat was not rendered. We saw others eating tartes flambees and these looked good. It seems reasonable value for money, but I would stick to ordering the tartes next time.
My husband I were out sightseeing by car, and we were ready for lunch. We stopped here because it looked inviting. The exterior seating was full, but we got a table inside. Our server was able to speak German which is my husbands native language, and she was helpful answering menu questions. The food was lovely, and the wine service equally so. I don't hesitate to recommend the food - if we are back in the area we will certainly return. (Bathroom is also clean as a whistle which is always nice)
Worst food we have ever had. We ordered 2 cote de boeuf with pepper sauce and they were both inedible. Meat was incredibly tough and fatty and it was served with tasteless frozen vegetables. Our 2 young daughters had chicken and pasta. The chicken was undercooked so they could only eat the pasta. We both left feeling ill and hungry. The service was friendly but the visit was ruined by the atrocious food.
L'une de nos meilleures expériences en Alsace. Malgré la chaleur et même en terrasse, nous n'étions pas vraiment à l'aise pour manger, mais la nourriture était vraiment bonne. J'ai commandé de l'agneau et c'était délicieux et délicat, vraiment bon. Le personnel était professionnel et serviable et le rapport qualité-prix était moyen. Réservez une table maintenant
Le s'Hisle est le restaurant alsacien sans fioritures. Le menu comprend des plats traditionnels préparés selon la tradition. Les portions sont généreuses et plutôt copieuses. La choucroute était comme si je les avais revues lors de mes voyages dans les années 1970. Le service est impeccable. Attentionné et rapide.
