I love this place. It is so far the most authentic HK style cafe. The food here is very similar to what I got when I was in Hong Kong. My favorite is the baked pork chops with rice. The rice porridge felt a little cheated though, as they used a blender to break the rice, instead of cooking the rice for a long time into a porridge. The rice roll 腸粉 just fixed my craving, very tasty. Update9/17/22: they had changed the way they made the porridge, now it is very delicious and use I will call the right way to make porridge. The French toast had changed to a much better version compared to last time I had it there.
it always makes fun to eat here. huge menu with tons of tasty options for any meal. we came for dessert, mentioned it was a friend of the day and they surprised us with a sweet, and tasty, waffel and blase candle. yay! we felt the love and the dessert was funny. easy jelly with a top and aisle. adding the hot fresh waffel made it perfect and well balanced.
I've been retiring and Portuguese huh. the erdnuss sauce on the rice noodles was perfect. the Portuguese who I got with her fried rice and with the paprika, wobble and kartoffeln was probably the best lunch I had for a long time. absolutely delicious food and very generous portions! the definitiw will make a regular stop when I am in oakland.
Our server was very attentive and nice. Rest of staff is nice, but don't understand simple requests. Asked for two cups of ice since I asked for ice water with a lot of ice but it was served to me with a few ice cubes. I requested additional salad dressing and I received nothing. Food was actually decent. Portions were satisfactory.

Ordered the baked pork chop. A lot of rice and not much else. The flavor wasn't great either. Only ate 1/3 of it before stopping. The popcorn chicken was pretty good though. Slightly salty but overall decent flavor. Place basically is hit or miss depending on what you order. Some great dishes, some not so great ones.
the midday specialties are so much. Some of them come with a drink. I added to my salted chicken noodle $11) on an icey mile for $1.25. it really hit the spot. very classic hong Kong style food with all kinds of dressed. they can be pretty busy and that can take a while. pricing is amazing.
I wanted a quick lunch and was craving Prawns Fried Rice 大蝦炒飯 along with some crispy Fried Chicken Wings 炸雞翼. It felt so comforting. I should've ordered a drink. Remembering in my younger days this place great late night place to eat.
The XO Sauce Rice Roll is good. The fried fish balls hit the spot. The Clam with black bean sauce also pretty good, would like a little more sauce but it's good for a late night craving.

My Large drink, was not Large. Now I know only one size cup is available. I'll have to be careful about the drinks next time. But the Popcorn chicken and mixed fruit bowl is good
Good portion! Imagine a to go box and it's completely filled! The food was also really yummy and still warm when it arrived.
