Shorty's Lunch - Réservation de table

I put this restaurant into one of three groups – a place people love, a place people hate, or a place people go to just to say they’ve been there. I’m in the last group. Took a friend there. Only went there because the Southern Yank Smokehouse down the street was closed due to a water problem. Visited in December 2020, when COVID was still being a raging witch with a capital “B.” First, during our visit, none of the workers were wearing a mask. Ordered a chili dog and some fries. Chili dog was OK; it was a “cheap meat” dog, not 100% beef. The chili saved it but it was a sloppy mess. The fries had absolutely no seasoning on them whatsoever. The food is cheap. Shorty’s is truly one of the top and most affordable dining options in Washington. I cannot recommend them highly enough – the service is quick, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is lively, and it is one of the few remaining gems in the area.

Best hotdogs anywhere. Also great fries and gravy also. I always make this the first stop when I get back in town visiting family and eat there almost every day while there.

This restaurant is amazing! We stopped on our way north and the French fries and gravy were delicious. We will definitely be stopping here again.
