I am extremely disappointed in my experience here. This is not my first time eating at Shuckers; however, this was the worst experience. I was there for my grandmother’s 89th birthday. The server kept forgetting about us but the party next to us never seemed to go unattended. It took the server at least 10 minutes just to check on us and re-fill our drinks. Part of our order was missing when the entrees came out. One of the steaks was re-fired 3 different times and by then it was completely overcooked. The one server did more for us then our initial/main server. He was all over the place and paid us little to no attention. Poor service if you ask me especially for the amount of money we spent. Going against the common opinion here, we were quite disappointed in the seafood quality. The half peck were small and dry from over steaming, the shrimp in the seafood chowder were mushy, the grilled shrimp on the salad were over cooked to almost rubbery. Yes, hush puppies were good. I do want try again, will go for the scallops, and salmon next time which seem like sure hits here. The atmosphere is nice. Unfortunately the food didn’t cut it for our dinner date this time. My favorite seafood restaurant in the triangle. The oysters here never miss and the pomegranate martinis are top tier. I recommend this place 100000% If I could marry the bacon wrapped scallops I would.
