Siam brasserie has tons of character. It 's a bit odd getting inside as there is a door into what feels like a 1/2 glass 1/2 wood elevator which you then go through to get into the main area. This 'elevator ' ' area is in the way of the stairs so I wonder if it is some kind of Covid precaution to slow entry. The staff let us in before our reservation which was much appreciated as the wind was bitterly cold. Staff led us to a table and gave us menus. Staff were polite and well knowledgeable about the menu. The dishes I tried were exquisite and well presented. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. I was searching for a lunch spot with my partner and came across this restaurant offering a two-course lunch for £10.95, so we decided to give it a try. There were around 4 or 6 appetizer options and 8 delicious main courses to choose from. The appetizer was excellent, scoring a perfect 10/10, but the portion was on the smaller side. The main course also received a 10/10 for both taste and presentation, although it was not as spicy as indicated on the menu. Overall, the meal was satisfying and I would consider returning. The service was efficient, although not particularly warm or welcoming.
We were seated immediately and given menus. Tea brought while we chose our dishes. Went for the express lunch £10- something for two courses). Both chose the corn cake starter. For main courses, I had the tofu and cashew nut stir- fry and OH had a tofu sweet and sour dish. Both came with plain boiled rice. The lunch was very pleasant and it's somewhere we would visit again.
We booked this restaurant as there were 9 of us for a birthday/celebration dinner. Food was excellent as always. We all had various starters and mains and everything was delicious. Whilst we appreciate that we are still going through COVID we felt that the service was very slow and we had to keep asking for drinks. However, this would not put us off going back.

We chanced upon the Siam Brasserie having been badly let down by another establishment. It turned out our misfortune was in fact a moment of good fortune. The Brasserie made our lunch time a very enjoyable event. The food was very good and the service was attentive without being intrusive. We will be going there again, quite possibly in the very near future.
Fantastic service and food. Thank you for a very special suprise 80th birthday party for my mother. You were all wonderful hosts for our party of 22 covering 4 generations. We had a memorable time thanks to you. The food was plentiful and very delicious. We felt very well looked after. Thank you.
Very good value lunch menu. Friendly and helpful service, with NHS covid qr code presented for scanning. Food was lovely I had satay chicken skewers to start with and had one nicked by my son, followed by cashew chicken with steamed Thai rice. All cooked perfectly.
The service was outstanding and the dining experience was fantastic. We visited for lunch and had the option of choosing from the main menu or the two-course lunch menu. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in Chelmsford.

I love this restaurant. It reminds me of my trip to Thailand. The food is always fresh with authentic flavors. I had the Pad Thai, and it was delicious. The service is always efficient. I highly recommend it!
