Beautiful dinner as always!!! We made an online booking on Friday 12/1/17 for a 7:15 dinner this evening and arrived a few minutes early. We sat in 10 minutes! Our waitress, Lisa, immediately took our drinks order and we then decided on an appetizer from Escargot. My friend ordered the King Crab legs with a baked potato and I ordered the house special, Steak Sammy, with some pasta. The creamy garlic dressing for our salads was homemade and delicious! My steak was perfectly cooked, the pasta was delicious and my friend said the Crab legs were excellent. Both were large portions and we took leftovers home. It was an excellent meal followed by large desserts cheesecake with raspberry sauce and sanders hot fudge sunflower. Wonderful! Even the coffee at the end of the meal was fresh and good. Our server, Lisa, has done an excellent job and contributed to our relaxing and pleasant evening!!! It is true that this is an older restaurant with classic, traditional décor that has been presuming the area of Downriver for about 50 years. But this old world flair is part of the charm and what makes it the jewel it is! There are no more many independent high-end restaurants and this is worth the trip. We have an excellent culinary experience every time. Very recommended!
