I had a fantastic meal and enjoyed a wonderful atmosphere right at my doorstep. This pub is one of the few large establishments that still offers genuine, classic pub food at reasonable prices. When you order a main course, be sure to save room for dessert—you won’t want to miss the classic crumble or the chocolate fudge pudding served with ice cream or custard. Delicious! The service is prompt and friendly, with the owners going out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Don’t hesitate to visit this charming 120-year-old village pub!
We arrived late on Saturday night, hungry and desperate for a steak after a long journey. We were welcomed by a cozy log fire and friendly staff who informed us that the kitchen had just closed. However, they kindly offered to take our order if we paid in cash right away. The food was fantastic—delicious prawn cocktail, crispy deep-fried mushrooms, and amazing sirloin steaks. I can't fault the food, the staff, or the service; everyone was so friendly and accommodating.
I had a wonderful experience today! It's a lovely pub with plenty of outdoor tables shaded to enjoy the beautiful weather. The service was very friendly, the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The trip was definitely worthwhile, and I will definitely return!
