It’s not my first time at Silver Diner, so I was surprised by the more negative experience I had. To be straightforward, first of all the prices are wrong. I ordered the Philly Steak with gluten free, which comes with a surcharge of $1.99. On the menu however, it was cheaper (I recall $1.49). On the website too, it shows as $1.29. It’s a small price difference yes, but still incorrect and seems unprofessional/scammy from whoever is in charge of the menus. Furthermore, the amount of food and water was subpar. My boyfriend and I visited and the food was good, I had the summertime cod. So a few days later I decided to order takeout of the same meal with a side of sweet potato fries. Not only did they gave such ridiculously small portions, the asparagus was dried out and the fries were kinda wet and not crispy at all. I could’ve made this better at home. Dining inside was good but takeout was a disgrace.
We all should know at this point that this place is all about the ambiance convenience which makes the rest not as important! Lovely people, quick service, all just a pleasure no matter the time. As for the food, not to shabby but they could up it a bit as it lacks a little this that.
Really impressed how delicious and fresh food is, modern take on classics, its my 3rd time and every time better tasting. Great that they buy from smaller suppliers healthier food.
