The cafe is beautifully decorated and offers a wonderful selection of cakes. The staff is attentive and friendly. However, I am giving it only 4 stars because it took over 30 minutes to be served our soup and sandwiches, and we still hadn't received our order of tea and a latte. Nonetheless, the food was delicious and worth the wait. The pea and ham soup was especially great. I would recommend a visit to this cafe!
Wonderful tea room with delicious made to order sandwiches and fresh baked scones and cakes (there was not a crumb left on our plates when we had finished eating! . The latte was one of the best I have ever tasted. The staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming and worked their socks off the entire time we were there. A really lovely place they deserve every penny of what they charge. We will be back!
We were seated immediately and was served very quickly. The staff are very polite and attentive. The pea and ham soup was lovely and hot and the plouhmans lunch was lovely as well. The rolls were nice and fresh and totally enjoyed it. We followed it with some awesome victoria sponge which my daughter and I really enjoyed. It is a lovely tearoom and would highly recommend.
On a trip to Troon, my friend and I had lunch, a sandwich and a salad, which were both lovely. We received a warm welcome and the service was friendly and efficient. We returned later in the afternoon for coffee and cake, as we had spotted the cakes when we were there at lunch. In all, a lovely day out boosted by two visits to the Silver Spoons. Absolutely top notch quality afternoon tea. We had the soup to start as well which resulted in us having take a doggy bag home as the portion sizes are large and fabulous! Not only that but Eileen accepted a voucher we'd been unable to use due to lockdown/health issues. Above and beyond usual customer service. Will be back!
Our friends recommended that we try the Silver Spoon cafe, and we were not let down. The warm welcome and wide selection of cakes were delightful. The Salted Caramel sponge was sizeable, fluffy, and delicious. The Rocky Road was also quite tasty. The prices were fair for the quality of the food.
My friend and I were in Troon for two or three days and booked an afternoon tea. It was the nicest afternoon tea we had ever had. Staff couldn’t do enough for you . If back in Troon again this will be a definite and this time will give a bit more notice. Thank you ladies.
