A tiny, hole-in-the-wall place operated by a very hard-working sole owner, serving the world class Döner. Each Pita bag is freshly baked on site. Always the freshest ingredients. Will add hot pepper when the customer asks him (I always add sharp pepper to my drier). We always make a special detour in Innsbruck from the highway to eat Döner at Simay. The diners here are culinary masterpieces and we enjoy every bit. We'll be back. Parking is on the road; take care to pay a non-immer-obvious parking ticket dispenser and place the ticket on the inside of the window of your car to avoid the ticket. Or just walk from your hotel if you enjoy this city as we would if we stayed in a hotel.
Mustafa Kücüktepe makes everything from the ground, and this shows in the taste of his döner, especially the Döner bread, which he freshens and represents the rather ingenious use of a pizza dough as a bread of the Döner sandwich. High quality, great döner. It wasn't on Yelp, but we stumbled about it while we were looking for Döner when apparently every Dönerladen was closed on Sunday at 12 noon. Great meat (Turkey and Chicken Together), great sauces, very hot pub if you want it (although you can have it mild if you want), and super friendly service.
EVERY Pita bag is baked, made by dough directly in a simple view for EVERY Döner Kebab this restaurant. Absolutely NO in advance made Pita bags. The dough is patted, rolled and baked before each individual Döner kebab is created and given to the waiting customer. Simay is a tiny hole at the wall: Do not go there to the air conditioning there is no air conditioning. But if you want to eat the freshest, Döner Kebab scratched on the planet, this is the place.
If you are looking for authentic, come here, thank you Simay for your warmth and your kindness. We ate more than well. The food is excellent, we haven't eaten that good in years. The bread, the meat, the vegetables, the cheese, the sauces, everything was perfect. I know that if we ever come again in Innsbruck, we will for sure come again at this restaurant.
