For years I’ve heard rave reviews about Singo, so my mother in law, husband, and I stopped in for dinner tonight. While it’s exceptionally cold outside at the moment, I don’t think there was any heat on at all it was freezing in the restaurant! Sat down and my chair cushion popped off of the seat and had to swap it out. Server was nice and food arrived quickly, we were in and out in an hour. However, we found everything to be extremely average. They’re known for their baked rolls, and I’m still left wondering exactly what that means. I had the chicken teriyaki roll, which was mostly filled with cucumber, and the sushi pieces were so huge that it was difficult to eat. I also ordered the steak...
Sushi was fantastic, What a Menu! I like eating sushi but going here really showed me just how inexperienced I am with a true sushi restaurant. Google will be your friend here because I could not understand 99 of the very large sushi menus . That being said we basically got a chefs choice combo which came with many different cuts of sashimi and it was excellent and fresh. We also got the miso soup which was awesome! We sat at a table near the exterior walls though and there are no heaters, so it was cold. Have gone to Singo for over 10 years. We now travel 30 mins because it is so good. Hot Night 2 , Cole Roll, the spicy tuna on crispy rice are all delicious! BYOB is great for sake. Our daughter loves the gyoza and sweet potato rolls. Always fresh and high quality. Rockin music too! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
