Sioux Lookout Golf and Curling Club

Played this course and had a great day. Tough to get a track in this area in such great shape considering such a short season but this is a real gem. There's 5 or 6 holes on this course that any club would gladly trade for. The manager was real friendly and glad to see us. All around the course the greenskeepers were courteous.Sadly the manager said they were struggling to stay afloat At $18 for a 9 hole taster I can see why. Aside from the course conditions being overmanaged with areas not in play still being mowed and watered the locals membership probably enforce lower green fees. We have visited this restaurant several times and they have never disappointed. My favourite is their several types of chicken stir fry, my wife usually has their steak sandwich and always raves about it. Their prices are reasonable and service is excellent. The only complaint I have is seeing as it is a curling club and has high ceilings it is sometimes a little cool.

This has the best steak sandwich in town. It is served on a piece of rye bread with fresh mushrooms and onions.You have a choice of onion rings or a salad. Don't know how they can afford to serve this steak at the price they charge, more than reasonable.They have a nice big mug of coffee, with free refrills. Really good value for your dollar at this place.

Last week, we tried a hamburger at this restaurant. The burger was juicy and incredibly tasty with great toppings. Although the kitchen was about to close, the friendly cook happily prepared it for us. It was a delightful surprise during these difficult times. Réservez une table maintenant

Food is decent, service is extremely slow. Cost is ok for the north. Cannot go there for lunch unless you are on holidays as they are slow
