Sippin Santa Prairie Village

Yeah I’ll be honest, it was a pretty rough experience. The food was subpar, came out fast but one of the salsa tasted like marinara sauce and the rest of the food didn’t really have flavor. The service was great to start and they had to switch wait staff (which didn’t bother us) but drinks took a really long time to come out and were inconsistent. The pricing for the quality were not on the same level. We also wait for about 30 minutes to get our check and I had to go to the bar to ask them to find our waitress. Not likely to go again but their cups and ascetic were super cute!

Our waitress was so overwhelmed but so very nice! Food came out quick and hot. Drinks were strong. Not sure what the reservation fee was for. The place just seemed to be decorated for Christmas. I was under the impression the pop Up bar was set aside in a place of the restaurant that was more intentionally decorated. But we were just in the place like everyone else. Super annoyed that we paid a fee for that. Go eat at taco Republic! But not for the pop up bar.

I should have read the fine print. seven dollar per person to reserve a place if there are many walkable spots available that do not cost money. I asked what we would get with the 7 dollar and was told the pleasure to have a reserved seat. Eat and drinks were good, but 21 dollar to get a table if it wasn't busy is a break. other places give starters than part of the reservation fee.

Service was very good. Except for some decorating there was nothing Christmas about it. No holiday music, they had football on. The staff was in sweats, they were out of a couple of the drinks... I like Taco Republic for the food, but Sippin Santa was a bust.

Dinner was fun. drinks were magical. decorations much fun. I hope to go back to sippin santa next year!
