Skinny's Smoke House

We went to the place when it was in town. However, they moved and apparently, according to the server, undergone several management changes... So, they won 't see us again. They don 't serve ANY craft beers regardless of it still being on the menu. Why would you stop serving this? I can 't think of a better drink with my meat... According to the server, the beans are 'from a can ' as she had seen cans standing around. Just before the food was served, they told us that they had no macaroni left. Why not tell us sooner or after we 've just ordered? They use plastic straws for consistency. And because 'we are in the middle of the prairie, it won 't affect turtles ' (yes, that is what she said)....

We came on Sunday of a long weekend. The place was empty at 7pm, but according to the hostess, we just missed the dinner rush. It 's probably faster to list what they had than what they didn 't have. When we ordered drinks, we were told that there was no draft beer, because their pipe burst. We ordered the brisket, and we 're told they were out. We ordered the tater tots pie and the mac cheese as a side. After about 10 minutes, the server informed us that they were out of chili and therefore couldn 't make the tater tots pie. After another 10 minutes, the server stopped by to inform us that they were also out of mac cheese. How that came up so late is inexplicable to me. Mind you, I could ma...

I was super excited to visit as I was in medicine hat for meetings. The meal was great but the service was ridiculous! I walked in and waited as I wanted to order takeout. I stood there for 5 minutes until someone walked by and took my order. I ordered the 2 x 2 special with a drink and was told it would take 15 minutes. I told her I would like a cocktail while I waited, and she told me to sit at the bar. For the 15 minutes I sat down waiting, no one came to take my order. My food was ready and someone brought it to me and I walked out. Halfway to my hotel, I realised my drink wasn 't in the bag so I had to go back! Went to skinny’s back in august 2022 and fell in love. Ate there almost every day I was in Med hat. Fast forward about a year I find myself back in med hat. (2023) Was so excited to eat there again, until I realized the menu was half the size, no more craft beers and and no more devilled eggs.Food came out almost immediately and well… not very warm. The best part is I woke up with the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had (yes it was this place as it was the only place I ate at, had it for lunch and dinner.)Then I had to drive to Calgary from med hat to catch a flight back to BC while trying not to destroy the inside of the rental car from my body wanting to evacuate my digestive system at eith...

This use to be by far, my favorite place to eat. I have ate here lots over the past few years but since the new changes to the menu i wont be back. my 2 favorite dishes were no longer available. The 3x3 was my favorite , 3 meat 3 sides for $32.00. Now the 2x2 is $30.00 , less food more money . 3 year customer , that won't be back . Why change a good thing.

I visited this restaurant with a large group, and they were very accommodating. Just a heads up: they automatically add a gratuity to the bill. We tried a few platters that included a variety of delicious dishes, and everything was really tasty. They also have a great selection of draft beers!

We had 2/2 for $29. Sooo worth it. We left with so much food and we ate until stuffed. The brisket melted in the mouth and the mac cheese was mind-blowing! The ribs were perfectly cooked and sauced. Our server was very pleasant. We very much enjoyed our dinner. Réservez une table maintenant

This is a fantastic hidden gem! Be sure to use a map to locate it, and remember that you'll enter the parking lot from the side. You can drive around the building to find parking. The food is excellent, featuring delicious Southern BBQ style dishes.

This restaurant used to be great, but the brisket is now tougher than cardboard. I ordered last night and couldn’t even eat the ribs or the brisket I got. I'm not very impressed and I won’t be spending $50 on a meal here again!
