As an adherent fan of SKVP now say else while’ and had been a fervent ‘Mumbaite’ and someone who does dine out more than an average, I feel sad to say the standards authenticity keep failing very often in my experience. This enterprise was all over authentic street food and had the freshness and authentic chat’ thikapan as we know . The dishes we had today and few times previously were mere mix of ‘farsan’ which could easily picked up from most Indian stores. It tasted too liquids a dish that could be dry to semi dry and was so sour, thikapan as I asked them. Except a very few bits of onion there was no freshness. Quite disappointing. Visited this SKVP in the newly opened branch in Reading , Berkshire , most amazing and fantastic experience. The team was extremely polite and very warm in welcoming . Big range of vegan/ veggie foods with awesome taste. This branch became so very busy when we were there in the afternoon with friends just visiting to find out this new branch. A must visit for foods while in Reading. Extremely well mannered and very attentive service which was most appreciated. Reasonable pricing on foods. One of the top Indian vegetarian street foods joint in Reading Berkshire. Our ordered foods very tasty and nicely presented. Recommend it highly to anyone. Would come to SKVP regularly.
The food was good. We drove from Nottingham inky to taste it because one of my friend recommended this place. Extra spicy salt would taste really good. Service is really bad. The management needs to improve a lot on this. Serving time is way too much. We had to wait for 30mins for the food we ordered. We ordered Vada Pav Pav Baaji Tea comb (2), Pani Puri Dahi Puri. Pani puri Dahi puri was served after 25mins 1 set of Vada Pav Pav Baaji was served later the person serving just gave us one one step forgot another. And when we asked he just gave us one Pav Baaji and again forgot Vada Pav. And again Chai he forgot and later when we asked he gave us at the very end.
An Indian simple, modern cafe-style restaurant dishing up tasty authentic Mumbai/Maharashtrian vegetarian dishes like vada pav, samosas, Pav Bhaji many more. There has been a recent upgrade by looks of its interior with different colors addition of an extra screen for the customers. It’s located in the heart of the city (high street). Always crowded as most people walk in when in town. The staff is very friendly and helpful, The service is prompt and is hygienic too. The prices are reasonable and a lot of variety of dishes. The masala tea is just heavenly and is worth mentioning. If you happen to be in Hounslow then this is the place to fill up . Réservez une table maintenant
No doubt food is good in taste, but Not hygienic at all. Served with dirty Hands. Because person who was taking order, same person was cleaning the table floor, serving food without washing hand at all. Toilet was stinking badly all over mess. Visited on Sunday. Don’t know how they got 5 star hygiene rating.
Tiny place and congested it’s because the restaurant is very small. i tried vada pav which was cheapest at £2.5. Taste wise it is food. But it will be more good if they serve not more hot. . To try these kind of food in cheap price I could it’s really worth and worth trying. Pretty decent experience
Lip smacking street food at a very reasonable price. Lot of options to try. Perfect for weekend to visit with friends or family. The place is quite small and food was served quickly. Would be great if the shop is expanded to accommodate more customers. Highly recommended
