I really want to love Slim's! However, based on my experiences there, I'd give it a 4 out of 10. It's become my last choice for dining over the past few months. The main issues are the excessive seasoning and the overcooked meat. Everything is either over-seasoned or over-fried, resulting in greasy food. Presentation is important in dining, and when you serve wings that look a bit dry from sitting out too long, just dropping them in hot oil and adding more seasoning doesn't improve their appearance or taste. Food snatched our soul so hard, forgot to take pics of our boxes. 17 sauces to pick from and you better make sure you get that cayenne ranch. The tenders are juicey, wings are good-sized, and the food was so good, we forgot we had a peach tea and Oreo shake. Even if the drinks got watery, they were still bussin. Sad that we are only driving through because of I lived here, I would need one membership to the gym and the other to Slim Chickens. Only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I order a 4 tender meal and only got 3. It?s not that I want to be a Karen, it?s just I real life wanted that last tender sent straight from Mary and Jesus.
OMG, the food is truly AWESOME but the service is VERRRRY subpar!! If the Manager and staff have a problem serving minorities then make it known!!!! This is 2021 and OMG stop throwing items to us at our table!! It's ridiculous and we come from Bastrop to dine in your establishment but will not be returning! We've been coming since you all opened. AND PLEASE STOP MANAGER COMING TO OUR TABLE TO SEE WHAT WE'RE DOING!!!!! We're not criminals!!! All minorities ARE NOT CRIMINALS!!! Heard about this little place from my daughter in law. We were dying to get out of Farmerville for a little while so we decided to give it a try. Clean with very cute decor. I had chicken and waffles (a first for me). Large Belgium waffle with three chicken tenders. It was very good. The others had the cheesy chicken wrap and coleslaw. The server said that the wrap was spicy so I didn't try it, but my cohorts thought that the sandwich was very good. Good value, great staff, and not very crowded at 5:00. I expect things really pick up later. I think that you will find this to be a good choice.
Slim chickens has a wider variety of different meals when it comes to preparing their dishes. They have wings, chicken fingers, wraps, to ice cream and so on. Any outsider or tourist looking for a nice wing joint to hang around; slim chickens would be the best in the area, come try it out. Never had a bad experience and always swift service.
Amazingly cooked and seasoned chicken. Not only that but the service is incredible. Has the best and only cayenne ranch dressing on the market. 10/10 would recommend, but there drinks are mid so bring a doctor pepper cream soda.
The wings were mediocre and not worth the price, although I suppose the five sauces that came with the meal somewhat justify the cost. I wouldn't make a special trip to dine here again.

I haven 't had a bad meal here yet. Best chicken around. Hands down. The jar desserts are really good and in the words of my wife Best chocolate shake in town.
Food was good and service was really good only reason I'm not rating higher is because I ordered 8 wings and they gave me 7
