Slyman's Tavern Independence

On my recommendation, myself and 4 college teammates met at the Independence Slyman's. After raving about the world famous corned beef, we were served sandwiches with dry beef, meat temp on one sandwich ranged from cold to semi-warm, the rye was not moist and my slice of Swiss was not melted. Maybe I should have asked, don’t know. At $18 for a below average corned beef, it might be a while before our group makes it back. Very disappointed!

As a Cleveland native this has to be hands down the absolutely best place in Ohio to get your corn beef addiction properly taken care of, These folks know what they're doing and have been doing it well for generations stop in today And get one of these mouth watering delights sure to make your day the absolute best day ever!I was blown away to also figure out I could rent a space here for my entire companies banquet.

the first time to come into this place and had an amazing experience. Ally was our server and she was nothing less amazing. she made our whole experience absolutely perfect there. I recommend to go here and if she is their server, they will have the best time there.

Went Saturday night and they had lots of large tables so the wait was 25 minutes but our server Tracy was a rock star! So friendly quick with our drinks and food. Food was great. Will definitely come again.

We had a party of five for brunch. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The brunch food came out hot and fresh. This is the Breakfast Burger with bacon, egg,and potato pancakes. Yum Yum.
