we were excited over the moon over our high-time cake! kim chad was incredibly helpful in planning, tasting and execution. above all, it tasted delicious, just as we had hoped, and it was beautifully decorated. the attention to detail and zeal to get everything right did not go unnoticed! having the chef there and watching him as he has pain to get it perfect was a wonderful feeling. unbelievable to know that she put so much care in our special day. this is a large local shop and we could not recommend it very well enough. Thank you!
Despite all the positive reviews, I definitely plan to give this place another chance. However, during my visit, I ordered a mandel croissant that was quite stiff and a potato au gratin that was served cold, and we were among the first customers of the day. I've had fresher pastries at Anthony's Coffee, and I was hoping this would be something truly special. That said, the staff was very nice, and the menu looks great.
I had a phenomenal experience with Small Oven Pastry Shop. We ordered catering for a 50-person event and everything was spectacular. The dessert bites were gorgeous and a showstopper for our guests, but everything was wonderful. The savory platters were just as beautifully presented as well as delicious. The folks at Small Oven were wonderful to work with and I can highly recommend them.
Wow, what an incredible experience! The sandwich was absolutely spot on. The cracklins were out of this world—full of flavor all the way through! And let me tell you about the bread pudding—it’s a classic! It’s perfectly sweet and wonderfully gooey. I heated it up in the microwave and enjoyed it with some eggnog. I tried their version of an alfajor, which they labeled a dulce shortbread cookie, and it was absolutely awful. I'm frustrated that I wasted my money on it. The dulce de leche is meant to be sweet, but when I took a bite, I was hit with an overpowering, salty flavor. I do not recommend it at all.
Everything was fantastic!!! The Antipasto Salad was enormous and packed with toppings. The Seasonal Vegan Soup, which was carrot ginger, was incredible! I also strongly recommend the Porchetta É Fagioli Soup. A perfect experience all around! This will definitely be my new favorite spot!
I wait for the bus in washington when I turned around to see this jewel! order the crumb cake and it was delicious – a thick, soft, moist pane covered with a delicious crumb. the staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back to try the rest of her baked!
This place hits every single time. The food, the desserts, the coffee???? In my humble opinion Porcos is serving up some of the best coffee in Philly. The customer service is also always on point. Love this place and will continue to come back time and time again Réservez une table maintenant
