Smithsonian Cafe And Chowderhouse

We went with Smithsonian Catering for our wedding reception buffet-style dinner and Peter and his staff were an ABSOLUTE pleasure to work with. Everything that Peter suggested for a menu (that we subsequently tried) was delicious and we only became more and more sure of our decision to work with them as time went on. He also kindly gave us seafood chowder whenever we went and OMG that stuff is DELICIOUS. Peter and team made us a fruit cheese table for appetizers,chicken marsala medallions, baked haddock with seafood stuffing, grilled vegetables, caesar salad, tomato mozz salad, and even helped us pull off our custom desserts! We got cupcakes in the following flavors : Andes mint chocolate, earlgrey and chocolate, and apple cider vanilla, IN ADDITION to a tiramisu cutting cake. And EVERYTHING was delicious! Every tasting we went to was fantastic and everyone at the reception really enjoyed the food. Thank you, Peter, for beingdown to earth, transparent about costs and any changes that needed to be made, and for just being absolutely fantastic to work with. We're definitely recommending you to every event/friend we can! You guys were amazing, Smithsonian Cateringteam. Thank you for helping us with our wedding! P.s. Peter is also willing to take on custom menu items and has experience with interracial wedding menus (where someone's grandma's recipe can be used). We didn't end up going with thisoption, but as an interracial couple, just knowing that he was considerate of those potential dynamics spoke volumes to us.

we went with smithsonian catering for our wedding reception buffet style dinner and peter and his employees were an absolute pleasure to work. everything peter suggested for a menu (which we later tried) was delicious and we were only getting more and more sure to work with them than the time went on. he also liked to give us seafood knower when we went and omg that causes delicious. peter and team made us an fruit cheese table for appetizers, chicken marsala medaillen, baked squid with seafood, grilled vegetables, caesar salad, tomato mozz salad and even helped us to pull our custom dessert! we have cupcakes in the following aromen: andes minze chocolate, ohrengrau and chocolate, and apfel apfelwein vanille, in addition to a tiramisu cut cake. and everything was delicious! each tasting to which we went was fantastic and everyone at the recipe really enjoyed eating. thank you. peter to be down to the earth, transparent about the cost and all the changes that had to be made, and only to be absolutely fantastic to work with. we definitely recommend them to any event/friend we can! you were fantastic, smithsonian catering team. Thank you for helping us with our high time! P.s peter is also ready to use on custom menu elements and has experience with interracial high-time menus (where someonees oma recipe can be used). we did not start with this option, but as an interracial couple, just knowing that he was thinking about this potential dynamic, spoke volumes to us.

Peter catered my wedding on July 30th! He was incredibly easy to work with, and has great experience. He even trained his staff to make our own Specialty Cocktails, which was so above-and-beyond! He also recreated a dish that my husband and I loved despite it not being from his own menu! Peter truly goes the extra mile, the whole experience was excellent. During the tatsing, he sent us home with a box of specialty cupcakes (they were fantastic!!! We cannot speak highly enoughof him. The food was delicious, and his staff were all so kind! We love the Smithsonian and are so thankful that they were a part of our special day!
