As someone who regularly contributes to Trip Advisor, I always strive to provide honest and fair reviews. My group of 6 adults has visited the Smokehouse venue multiple times and have always had a great experience with positive reviews. Unfortunately, our recent visit was quite disappointing. Although we were seated quickly, we were unfortunately placed next to a noisy table of about 16 people who were loud and disruptive. This added to the overall poor experience. The establishment was not particularly busy, so it was disappointing to have to wait a relatively long time for our drinks to be taken, our order was taken eventually and at no point did the waitress come and check on us, ask us if we wanted any more drinks. The food was amazing, which makes it even worse, as the chef and everyone behind the scenes making the great dishes to be let down by front of house. When the bill came, a disagreement ensued. We booked a table because the reviews read well and the photos made the food look good, however, that’s where it ended. The staff were great, helpful and polite but the food was very disappointing and the restaurant was in need of a good clean (toilets in particular) and new plates as both ours were chipped. I ordered the meat combo of belly pork beef brisket, what came resembled a large slice of beef and a cut of Porchetta with tinned pit beans, my partner ordered Moroccan lamb which resembled a lamb casserole and was served moderately warm and the cherry bakewell cocktail certainly wasn’t made from scratch. The staff and service was excellent. I had the chicken salad as a main, and was truely surprised by the amount of chicken. The dish came with a would chicken breast cut in half. The salad and dressing complimented the dish, though I think a little bit of avocado would have just finished it off. My partner had the coconut lime prawns as a starter, and although the prawns were tasty, they lacked any coconut. For desserts we had a baileys white chocolate cheesecake which was very tasty. I had the chocolate meltdown which was superb.
My husband and I went for lunch at this restaurant after being let down by another tapas spot. The food was amazing. We started with a generous portion of spicy olives, followed by six delicious tapas dishes. All of them were excellent! If you order five or more tapas, you get a free bottle of wine. The server was very helpful and efficient. We will definitely be coming back.
food was bang on average looked sad and dry , We then had a full tray of drinks spilled on us by wait staff and wasn’t even offered a free drink the full bill was given to us with out no adjustments , only a half arsed apology , avoid and get some meat from farmfoods it would be a better experience
2nd visit 1st went in Feb. 2023 service good polite friendly staff food was very very good had 3 tapas fish tacos lamb tagine and the coconut prawns my partner had the ribs yes its slow food service then its not fast food and well worth the wait then you know its freshly cooked

We visited Sunday lunchtime for a family birthday. The food was absolutely delicious, we had a variety of meals from the BBQ Combo to some tapas. All of it was lovely and the young girl that served us was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch of tapas at this restaurant. The portions were generous - we shared 5 dishes between the two of us and also received a complimentary bottle of house wine. The food was flavorful and very enjoyable.
