Not many waterfront places to eat on Long Island so I was surprised to get parking and a table on a Friday. Went early though 5:30. Very nice setting. Holly provided great service. I was a bit disappointed in my Lobster Roll though. I asked for it warm. Not sure how they achieved that but it was very greasy. Even the roll was greasy. It seemed a bit over cooked? Could they have dumped the chunks in the deep fry for a few seconds? I do not know. The warm butter had little flavor also- not sure if they made it fresh or what? $37 a bit high for this experience. After reading several bad reviews I didn't have high hopes, but I was pleasantly surprised. I think this had a lot to do with our server, Holly, who was an absolute delight! She was friendly and funny and definitely a highlight of our visit. The outdoor seating on the canal was so nice and there was a nice breeze, not too hot and not buggy. The service was a little slow, getting drinks from the bar, but we were not in a rush so we didn't mind. We shared the coconut shrimp which were very good. I had the fish chips w/truffle fries, the portion was huge and it was delicious. My friends had the cod special and the salmon and both said theirs was delicious too. We would definitely come back. Went there with a party of 5 on Friday night and everything was terrible. The staff was terrible, the food was cold and the Mahi Mahi I ordered was dry and overcooked. Worst of all, after there was a hair on the plate of my sister-in-law 's Salmon entree, she sent it back and after about 20-25 minutes they brought her back the same piece of salmon (she cut the salmon a specific way to ensure that she would not get the same piece back and when they did finally return with a "new "plate, it was clearly the same piece of Salmon). Disgusting. We will certainly never return there and I would strongly suggest avoiding this place.
We had my baby shower here on Saturday and it could not have been any nicer. The set up and ambience highlighted the lovely summer day. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Brendan was very helpful with the booking, planning and during the party itself; and my mother, sisters and I could not have had a better experience. 5 stars.

Called ahead took a 25min boat ride and then was told I wasn’t going to be seated due to the kitchen being back up. Told them we were willing to wait we understand they were busy but they turned us away @8:15 there kitchen open till 10pm. The bayview took care of our table of 10 and had a great night out. Don’t recommend smuggler jacks at all
I hosted a bridal shower for my daughter, and everything turned out perfectly! The food was absolutely delicious, and all the guests loved it. It was incredibly charming that she arrived by boat! Thank you so much for all your help!
We had a nice dinner on the water at Smuggler Jacks. Our individual heated igloo was a fun cozy way to enjoy dinner. We had drinks, appetizers, and our entrees in the igloo. We went inside for after dinner drinks.
Surprisingly the food was absolutely delicious. Even the service was great. I had a Martini and my friend has wine, not skimpy at all. We will definitely go back. I recommend everyone try it at least once

The owner Noel Cannon is the most rude person I ever encounter in my life. Don't bother coming here. He only cares for sales and not taking cre of customer.
Great food and excellent service. The ambiance on the water is peaseful and unexpected. I would highly recommend!
