This was our fourth time dining here. The food is fantastic. The service is usually very attentive, but it was Valentine's Day, so that might have had something to do with our server being busy, though I did notice that other tables were being waited on a little more attentively. But as the evening progressed, the service got worse. Dishes we had ordered were coming out at a snail's pace; the one dish we were looking forward to had sold out before we received our order, which was completely on the server. I still tipped the server well enough given that the service was slow. One of the servers who has remembered us from the first time we dined there even acknowledged to us as we were leaving...
Dined at Sochi on Valentine's Day, and it was a very unpleasant experience. Food took too long, drinks took too long, provided chipped glassware, and our poor server was stretched too thin. At some point, someone dropped off a dish that I could not eat due to an allergy, but they charged it on the bill anyway. Pork was raw, and the pho was incredibly subpar- so much so that any run down shop off of Argyle would make better pho. In regards to service, I do not blame the server at all who was incredibly kind, but could not provide good service as she was running around like crazy to keep up. DELICIOUS!! This was one of the best meals I’ve had in Chicago. For the two of us, we shared 3 dishes (1 starter, 1 salad, and 1 main dishes) which was the perfect amount. We started with the Original Egg Roll which was perfectly crispy on the outside but tender and moist on the inside. The flavor was unlike any egg roll I’ve ever had. For our salad, we got the Ben Thành Market Salad which was my favorite dish. The flavor was so unique and the pork was cooked perfectly. Truly one of the best dining experiences that I have ever had. The food was 10/10, my wife and I both loved our meals and appetizers. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. The owners stopped by our table and treated us like family. I am already looking forward to going back and trying everything on the menu. This place will quickly be a top restaurant in Chicago, I have no doubt!

The service was excellent and professional from beginning to end. The food was fantastic, starting with our eggplant appetizer and culminating in the extraordinary clay pot dish, which is only available on Fridays and Saturdays. That dish alone makes a visit here well worth it. We’ll definitely be back soon.
We ordered the eggplant starter, the noodle salad and the vegetable curry. They were all good but not quite enough food. Plus they all had the same tastes/ingredients (eggplant, tofu, peanut). I was really disappointed by the lack of vegetarian options.
Our group of four had a wonderful meal at Sochi on a freezing January night. The crispy chicken wings and eggplant appetizers were delicious; the pho was so flavorful and tasty. Fast and friendly service to boot. Our go-to spot in Lakeview!
The food here is amazing, and the ambiance creates a wonderful atmosphere for conversation with your companions. The staff was very polite and attentive, and they were understanding when we arrived a bit late for our reservation.

Such a pleasant place to enjoy upscale Vietnamese food. We absolutely love all the dishes we had last night. Great service also. For sure this is our new favorite place to go.
Spent our 20th anniversary at our newest favorite spot! The food drinks are amazing and the service is outstanding!
