Terrible. Over priced, poor quality and bus boy was trying to take our dinner order after he took our drink and appetizer order? Server finally showed up after we demanded to be served by a server. Can’t believe they stay in business. The food is awful. Just a suggestion, if you advertise fish stew and list the ingredients, you should probably actually put those ingredients in the dish. My stew was missing half the things listed in the description. I think the bread was microwaved. Come on.

Suggestion for the restaurant: specify indoor or outdoor for the tables rather than “standard” or outdoor. There’s nothing to compare “standard” to if it’s the only option for your time slot. I have dined at Sociale countless times and honestly thought outdoor was standard. It was disappointing to learn that “standard” is defined as “indoor,” while hosting a group for my birthday dinner, with a vision for an outdoor experience.

The food and ambiance were great, as was the wine, and overall we had a wonderful experience. We had two servers, one of whom was delightful. The other left a little more to be desired: he was pretty negative about some of the menu items including one of the specials we were interested in which was a bit surprising and left us feeling a bit put off. Again other than that, great experience and we’d still go back.

I have eaten at Sociale for years and not been disappointed. Yesterday, I had the sea bass. It tasted awful as did the greens I would give Sociale another chance based on my years of going there and having a good experience The noise level on the patio was unnerving. I have eaten in the patio before and the nose was not noticeable. Réservez une table maintenant

Great “tucked away” find! We had a great dinner there after finding some good reviews. We were pleased with the dinner and ambiance. Food was really good, staff was helpful and friendly and it really has a neighborhood vibe. Casual, laid back but delivering good food and wine!

Lovely outdoor seating , wonderful food (veal chop and game hen under a brick especially delicious). Service a bit spotty, had to ask for things twice but the server was attentive and funny, probably just too many tables and too few staff.

The patio is beautiful and the service is excellent. They have a fantastic wine list, especially with many wonderful Italian wines. I do wish they offered more plant-based options on the menu, but overall it is a charming restaurant.

Yummy dinner date with another couple. We live in Marin county. Fun to come to SF dinner.
