Where do I start!! Firstly, note to self after checking previous reviews don't then ignore them and visit this place!! We just wanted a simple pizza pasta night and after passing a few times before thought why not, surly pizza and pasta can't be messed up that bad?? Well, if I'm 100% honest the food isn't awful but low average at best. Asked for Spaghetti for our 4yr old microwave food pizza for my other son and wife both not coming with what was advertised on and I had lasagna microwave food . Oh well we thought, lesson learnt but the best was still to come. A restaurant which in appearance does not seem chic, but it is very convivial. The staff are very friendly and speak several languages. The food is really good and homemade by the cook. We took the paella (quality meat that clings to the bone) the sea bream is well cooked with an interesting marinade. My 7 year old daughter took the calamari with the homemade and non-industrial breadcrumbs. Really I recommend. The full menu with two dessert or coffee dishes and an aperitif: 16 euros. The calamari dish 8 euros. Not at all excessive given the quality of the products. Kid-friendliness: There is no children's menu but they do offer fried nuggets and plates of tapas which can be used as a dish.
A la entrada de Port Saplaya, prácticamente en primera linea de playa, se encuentra una zona con varios restaurantes, bares, horchaterías y heladerías dentro de los que destaca el Bar Restaurante Micalet, ubicado en Plaza Mayor, 5, por ser uno de los más clásicos de la zona y estar abierto durante todo el día. Este horario permite, desayunar, tomar el aperitivo, comer, tapear o cenar, sin ningún problema. Al medio día ofrecen comida a la carta pero también es posible elegir un completo y variado menú. Óptima relación calidad precio. Cuenta con un amplio salón y una cómoda terraza. Muy buen trato por parte de los camareros.
Tras el cambio de dueños,Ainoa ,Alvaro y equipo se han comprometido y esfuerzan dia a dia para ofrecer el mejor servicio,excelente por ellos!!! La comida fresca y elaborada en el momento,tanto en los almuerzos como en el menú! La atención directamente de sus dueños es muy agradable y cercana !!! Además que siempre hay estacionamiento gratuito justo en frente para todo tipo de vehículo. Muy recomendable!!! Un lugar para volver en PortSaplaya.

Comida el día de Nochevieja, menú 18€. El arroz de bogavante estaba exquisito y los segundos de carne buenísimos también. Los camareros muy atentos y rápidos en el servicio. La comida salía en cuanto la marchaba cocina. La única pega que no tenían calefacción y tuvimos que comer (todos los de la sala lo estaban) con la chaqueta porque hacía frío . Sin duda volveremos.
This restaurant must be under new management as we visited port saplay each year and ate here last year three times on our visit. We were looking forward to going back! Wow what a difference a year makes. It was just shocking bad from start to finish. Would not recommended it and will not be returning.
