We had already chosen the restaurant at home as it opened from 12 which is less the case here in the region. Since the hotel has a name other than the restaurant, we didn't know the place was identical, otherwise we would have looked here!? Since we were here 45 minutes before opening hours, we asked and could put ourselves on the magnificent terrace and place our order. At noon there is only one vasper card that was also i.O. We chose the Vesper plate with very good sausage from the meat shop HAIN. For 1 person it is sufficient for 2 too little, for a lot of bread, but little butter. I've known the Hotel Sonneck for about 20 years. It has always been an oasis of feeling well for me, even the most extraordinary wishes are filled with a smile. The second ceiling in the room was mandatory after the first stay. Now after 6 years I was here for the first time to come back with my yoga students and I am highly enthusiastic. The staff is really incredibly striving. The food is absolutely fantastic. And the renovation of the hotel is thrilled. I look forward to coming to visit 3x this year. Family Traue really does everything right here.
We spent 3 beautiful days in the sun and felt very comfortable. Cosy room with modern bathroom, wellness area with swimming pool, sanarium and outdoor sauna and a very good regional cuisine. The 4-course menu in the evening was always a highlight. The hotel is idyllic and quiet on the edge of the forest. From there you can explore the Knüllwald directly on first-class hiking trails. Melsungen and Rotenburg are also easy to reach and invite you to walk. We can recommend the hotel without restriction and like to return.
