Reserving I had Mrs Baumer on the phone. She greeted with my name as so many times before. Getting there she said hello, probably having forgotten again my name. Had it been the first time, ok, but over those last 20 years I’ve been there...for at least 15 dinners ... Once I called in Swiss German: no table available, 15 minutes later again in french and she gave me one. Fortunately the food as usual was outstanding. When some distinguished people left she stayed behind the counter, not even moving forward to say goodbye. When we left not a word ... ! Well, some other comments show us the same misbehavior. I have been a guest here for many years It just gets better and better and the owners are a complete delight. The food is beautifully and artfully presented. I personally love the salad plate and the delicious rosti the chef (owner)...takes Rosti to another level! Fabulous deserts as well. This restaurant also has one of the best views in the Saanenland, standing next to the 5 star hotels with equally wonderful views. Can't recommend this place enough. 5 Star Quality food, quality owners. Don't miss it!

The restaurant is very convivial, chalet style with cosy blankets. They have a very nice terrace for lunch. They serve traditional Swiss food as well as more modern dishes, everything was excellent! The wines are good as well. Prices are expensive but worth the quality....A great place in Gstaat for any occasion, for family, friends or dates.

We came without reservation on a Saturday evening and staff managed to find us a very nice table with a fully booked restaurant. The food was delightful, I recommend to try a salad with eggs and truffle. Spectacular view, beautiful sunset.

Pricey, but worth every centime. The meat is out of this world, and the views are divine. Good service and dog friendly.
