I came with a party of 5 (all black and brown women from the state). there were several open tables outside; some who sit up to 4 and others who could accommodate 2-3 persons. When we went to the facility, sophie looked at us and said: no, I don't serve parties of 5? we wanted to share our party, as there were several open tables to accommodate parties of 2-3 persons. We are visiting Scottsdale and wanted to try Sophie?s cafe as my daughter loves crepes. We walked up and saw an open table outside. As my daughter went to sit down an employee (assuming Sophie) came out and yelled at us. She said she was saving the table for a couple inside who had been waiting. Other diners stared as she was very rude. We said okay so we need to be seated rather than seat ourselves. She replied yes. So we went inside and stood there for 5+ minutes while we were ignored. Finally we left. Not a friendly place!
just by chance we decided to eat at sofie?s caffe. it was the best decision we could have made. we all had quiche lorraine and quiche with the goat cheese. the crust was tasteful and perfect with the quiche filling. the salate that accompanied the quiche was from this world the dressing was so good. the coffee was the best my friend ever had.
