I just had the fried chicken Sunday meal with mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread dressing, string beans and carrots, and peach cobbler, and a large Mac n cheese. Everything was amazing. Surprisingly the sides stole the show — the chicken and Mac was awesome — I throw no shade — I was just flabbergasted by the taters, dressing, beans and cobbler. Usually Mac and fried chicken steal the show, and 100% this Mac and fried chicken was amazing. I am only saying that the sides were so good in that they held a candle to the most flavorful foods that is usual outshine the rest of the meal. To the cook at Dulan’s, thank you. You made my weekend. You now have a repeat customer. I loved this meal.
Dulan’s is some of the best southern food you can get in LA. I was quite skeptical at first, but I’m definitely a convert now! Their fried chicken is crispy, flavorful and delicious, and don’t you dare skip out on their mac and cheese! I personally appreciate their line outside with the social distancing markings on the ground. I felt very safe getting my food!
Their mac cheese is a culinary experience. I am not even into Mac Cheese. Their mashed potatoes have flavor. .fried chicken is crispy not greasy. they do a great job having a security guard outside ensuring social distancing masks. Everyone places their order at the table at the door without having to go in. receive the food at another window 6 feet away.
We arrived on a Friday night just before a rush. No long lines, yet. But once they start coming in expect a wait. The staff is very courteous and does a nice job of filling the plates with huge portions. Nice food and dessert selection to choose from. All of the sides are tasty and the smothered pork chops are excellent!
