The south Albury takeaway has been going as long as I can remember. We ordered min chips, grilled fish, chicken nuggets potato cakes. The only criticism here is the chips. Now this won't be everyone's cup of tea but this is probably one of the last fish and chip shops that make there own chips. Some of these are sensational as you pick your way through them but most are the oily little crunchy ones. Some people will love these obviously so that's all good. Potato cakes were sensational as was the grilled fish and the nuggets were good as well as these can be a dodgy choice at fish and chip shops sometimes. my partner and i ordered dinner from South Albury Takeaway, we’re told over the phone by an absolutely lovely lady (she was fantastic) that the wait was 20 minutes, ended up waiting over an hour in store after we turned up and when we went up to ask how long they hadn’t even transferred our order to the bench to start making it Very disappointed in the service here, i understand that things can get busy but i think i it’s silly to tell customers the wait is 20 minutes but then not make the order until they come and tell you they’re in store
A small family operated business that serves delicious fish chips with friendly fast service. I have visited south albury takeaway for many years now in the years I spent living away from Albury I missed this place a lot could never find another similar. The battered sav’s, hamburgers potato cakes are the best!
Drove down from Sydney and ordered ahead 3 Hamburgers with the lot, 2 burgers sat in the bainmarie along with lukewarm soggy white chips. We tossed the chips away, burgers were just fair. Previously the burgers were ordered ahead and were fine. Take your chances here it’s hit and miss
