Southbay Diner In North L

I was there with two couples tonight. In total we sat for 2.5 hours. It was early and lots of empty tables. About 15 minutes after we got the check, the owner kept looking at us as if he was annoyed we were still there. Tons of empty tables so we were not preventing anyone from sitting. My husband was online waiting to pay the bill and we were waiting by the dessert showcase and he had the audacity to come over to us and ask if we were going to eat again. Never will I ever go back there. The owner/manager was so rude. My meal was not even good. First experience here like this. Maybe new owners?

One of the best diners to eat in on Long Island, I usually have the chicken noodles soup to start with then the shrimps with crabs meat is my favorite with the saute carrots and steam spinach,(or rice so very well prepare and very tasty and you will most definitely will have a take home bag ,they're very generous with their potions .I love this diner very much . PS .Talking about the food, I forgot to mention how courteous and wonderful the staff is there,they give excellent service.

Do not eat here! The homefries were greasy and inedible, why are there giant chunks of undercooked onions and potatoes?? Corned beef hash was subpar. The toast and disco fries are the only edible items. Service was decent but how was it $75 for 2 platters, 1 kid breakfast and 3 sodas?! Overpriced for low level quality of food.

Been going here for a while and tonight for the first time had a terrible experience ! We walked in with a party of 8 and were greeted with a “ doesn’t anybody call anymore “? And no it was not a sarcastic joke. Followed by someone telling the Manager/supervisor “ why don’t you just turn them away….. walked out ! Réservez une table maintenant

Had a great dinner with friends. The waitress was attentive and got all the food out at the same time. Even when we were done she said we could hangout as long as we wanted and order dessert if we liked.

Amazing food. Roasted carrots and potatoes to die for at dinner. Delicious bread baskets!!! Adrianna, Stephanie and front desk managers are sooo sweet and hospitable. Excellent lunch and dinner specials!

The food is delicious! Best diner food I've had in a while. I recommend the omelettes, pancakes and home fries. Excited to go back and try more of the menu.

We like South bay, accommodating,funny and friendly. We come to eat and celebrate the start of special occasions. Looking forward to visit again. Réservez une table maintenant

Both my mother and I got food poisoning. She called and told her, No one else complained

Love this diner. Food was excellent and our waitress was wonderful. Recomend it highly.
