Southside Bistro - Réserver une table

We were there for the duck special menu it was OK nothing was a stand out and some of the connections with the fowl were tenuous, eg contained duck fat. My biggest whinge was that the wine list on the table was quite limited and we didn't start with champagne because I don't rate Palmer the whole list was really average and difficult to find wine to our liking we were 2 bottles in when the waiter offered us the full wine list...WHAT?!? We won't be racing back.

My husband and I and another couple had dinner last night and came away feeling rather disappointed! The restaurant is set in a wonderful ambient area under the railway bridge but the food was below average! Such a shame for a fantastic venue! One of the signature dishes being duck with noodles was like it had been reheated three times as all noodles were broken up and hardly any duck and this was probably the best dish!

Very average dining experience. Had the banquet menu which included a few small appetisers a very bland, dry fatty pork belly dish, vinegar cucumber plain rice with no sauce/flavour to accompany. Left hungry after a $69pp menu matching wines were average at best. Left at offer of dessert (not included in banquet menu) went around the corner to Messina to redeem a disappointing dining experience

First visit the food was delicious! Definitely recommend the Braised Pork Belly and Chicken Bao Slider. To finish off have the Chocolate Sizzling Brownie. The lady who served us was attentive and kind. Will be back.

Do not confuse this venue with Southside Restaurant in Fish Lane…. This review site is for “Southside Bistro” Sunnybank,which may be wonderful ,haven’t been there….
