Southside Cafe - Réservation de table

I made an online order August 30, 2024 as was requested by the restaurant. I had originally tried calling in the order, but was told by staff they were too busy to take my order by phone and it needed to be done online so that it could be accurately completed. Online order completed and the response from the restaurant was please give them 30 minutes to complete. I arrived at the restaurant 25 minutes after submission with my payment already placed. Inside, the place was empty except for a couple of tables and a few people scattered around the bar. The tables were clean with only one table waiting to be bussed. Found this little gem in Slidell one Sunday. We were looking for a different place to try for Sunday dinner and this place did not disappoint. The parking lot was packed and so was the inside. Most of, if not all the TVs were on the Saints game. There is a huge bar in the middle of the restaurant that was fully to capacity. We walked in a joined the party. The menu is massive with almost anything you could think of, including the traditional and non traditional New Orleans dishes. I had the catfish that was fried to perfection, and my parents had the blacken catfish and chicken Parmesan. Each of our meals came with two sides. The food seemed like it was pre frozen processed from Walmart, just pulled outta the bag and fried. Heavily salted with no other flavor. Zero flavor to the potato salad, that actually had no salt . No impressed, probably won't go again.

We were in town for 4 nights and ate here twice! Burger night on Tuesday was unreal, the meat was next level. The service was great, the atmosphere was fun, I’d definitely be back if we lived in town. Great family restaurant. Réservez une table maintenant

Locally owned, great food, wide variety, great atmosphere service. Consistently great! One of our top places. Eat where locals go. Great homemade Bleu cheese dressing. Steak Night is back! Thursdays, 4pm till close.

The rib eye philly was delicious! Seafood gumbo and chicken and sausage gumbo was great! My brother comes here a lot an says everything seafood here is topnotch ... lol. Love the atmosphere!! Casual attire.

This place is absolutely top notch the staff, food and restaurant was awesome ! In town visiting from Tulsa, Oklahoma I highly recommend and to top it off is owned by a fellow Leatherneck ! Semper Fi!

Food was wonderful and the waitress was great! We had a large party and she handled it with grace plus the food came out quick and hot! Réservez une table maintenant
