Spago Beverly Hills

I'm very troubled by the experience. Food was very good. However the service even after I talked to the owner simply did not live up to the name I wanted my wife to feel like a queen for her birthday. I'm a very successful Doctor of Psychology who owns treatment centers My hard work affords me the opportunity to treat my wife and family to good things in life I'm not going to use the "race" card but I felt very "African American in this place. Meaning it was almost evident that we were not paid attention to I'm furious. I spent on my meal and gave a tip just because God has blessed me to be someone who gives The food as I stated was delicious. I go to very nice restaurants but this one is off my list I also have some very famous and popular sports stars in my family who I will surely inform. SPAGOS BEVERLY HILLS.. I guess I need to be a famous name as a few of my family members are to get the treatment my hard money spent tonight Frankly I feel ripped off. I never write reviews this long but I'm baffled and quite insulted..

We go to Spago every year to celebrate my husbands birthday. We were surprised to be seated in a large tent and in the middle of the open floor. The intimate feel that we love at Spago had turned into a cafeteria style seating area that turned into what looked like a club scene when evening hit. That special luxurious feeling you get eating at Spago was no longer there. Patrons were seated in the courtyard but not the indoor dining area. The tasting menu has become an course meal only so we decided to try a la cart this time. The food was solid. Service was ok. Definitely not the level we have grown accustomed to at Spago. We didn’t get anything extra for the bday except a candle on the cheesecake we ordered. The highlight of the evening was Maxim the sommelier. His wine pairings were fantastic and service impeccable. Hopefully Spago returns to its trialed eventually or is this the new wave of high volume to make up for lost revenue from covid

One of the worst service I’ved had. Our waiter (don’t know his name never presented himself) had to be told to take our order, he took it and never came back to see if we needed something else and we where there for hrs. The table assistance personnel are not included in this bad review because they where excellent The big eye tuna cones just terrible as well as the risotto. I usually don’t give bad reviews but this one I think is well deserved

This place used to be really good, I think there are better restaurants out there with better value and food. There alcoholic drinks were good
