a friend and I thought last night in spatchcock for a dinner in the week. all our dishes were fresh and delicious. the aromen became western, but authentic Thai in style of cooking. we had crispy, fluffy curry buffers, followed by a ginger sauce stir fry burst...with perfectly cooked crispy vegetables and a beautiful creamy masseaman bark curry. you can't go wrong with Byo! the service was inconspicuous and yet attentive. decor in restaurant is modern and comfortable. only negatiw would be missing a sign on the front with the name of the restaurant. I had to check a menu to be sure I was at the right place. would also be a great option for home delivery.
I have been to this restaurant several times and normally it was a great experience. I am coeliac and I was very clear, I needed my meal to 100% gluten-free. When my meal arrived I was worried, it seemed to have soy sauce or. something so double checked with the waiter they are sure that this is definitiw gluten-free? what she said, well, an hour later, I began to feel all my symptome, which are very annoying and also potentially dangerous to people who have severe reactions.
If you're out and about in Coogee and have the sudden urge for some Thai then Spatchcock is the place to go. Don't let the name fool you as this little place is a great Thai experience after a hard day rocking it out on the sand or surf. Go for the tom yum soup (great with seafood , the salt and pepper squid, marinated lamb cutlets, or laksa (must have with duck! and you have yourself a great Thai experience.
My husband and I absolutely adore this small Thai restaurant. The service is consistently prompt and friendly, the portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable, and the food is delicious. Additionally, the food is delivered quickly, which is perfect for when you're heading to the movies or, like us, have a young child and a baby and just want a quick meal.

We came across Spatchcock when searching for a quick meal before heading to the movies at The Ritz. The curry puffs were tasty and the massaman curry was delightful. However, the chilli basil noodles with chicken were a bit too spicy for our liking. The waitress was friendly and it was a great choice for a relaxed Saturday night dinner.
we love this little, noisy restaurant. you eat is always comforting. my favorite is the laksa, but I was satisfied with everything I tried from her menu. my children love the kitten and their green curry is just delicious. that's by far. my favorite restaurant on the spot.
I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious Thai curry! The atmosphere is relaxed and modern, and I had the beef curry with sweet potato and coconut milk, which was incredibly tasty.
this place has huge portions and is loaded with vegetables. it was probably not as sharp as I would have wanted, but it's still really good. seafood were fresh and abundant in both.
