Our first reservation was for a Sunday evening. Received a confirmation and arrived via UBER to walk down the stairs only to find that the restaurant is closed on Sundays. What? I suppose that this is both Open Tables and Sirocco's issue of not communicating, but that was a bad omen, one we should have heeded. However, having a fond history at the former gem Sirocco, we decided to give the restaurant another go hoping that somehow the former fine dining establishment had morphed into a more updated, modern reiteration of its former self. We were disappointed. It's truly a shame that the name Sirocco is still associated with this new pizza restaurant. It is certainly not the same dining experience, quality of food, nor service of its former glory. We understand that times change, restaurants need to refocus, but this was truly a disappointment.
The service was horrific. Two people waited 15mins (timed) to get any sort of attention from the wait staff. Ordered drinks and dinner at which the one glass of wine took 9mins to arrive. Food tasted fine, in large portions (pasta) but clearing the table room a long time, with one water glancing at the dishes, walking away, the deciding to clear them. Lots of kids running around (not the restaurants fault) but not somewhere to go unless you’re staying at the hotel.
Restaurant was super loud due to a large conference. Our food took long to come out and the tomatoes on the caprese salad were over ripe and included the top of the tomato (where the stem is). Pizza was good but all in all it was quite a hectic experience especially with the loud group that was yelling and using profanities at their table.
La nourriture était bonne et les prix corrects étant donné que vous êtes dans un hôtel. Le service aurait pu être un peu mieux plus rapide, mais le serveur était sympa.
