Every single time I call here to place a order 1 or 2 things happen the phone is always busy or 2 I'm on hold for so long that I have to eventually hang up. I said I'm going to just come I some to place my order. Maybe that would help but No!! It's even worse. The wait time is always so long whether I am waiting to order or waiting to receive my food. I'm so sick and tired of this. This place needs more workers who actually care because though their not disrespectful they do give off a I Don't feel Like being here type of attitude. Spice N things has never disappointed me in the 5 years I’ve been a faithful customer. I literally eat there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The owners Andrea and Roger are such nice ppl, I can’t recall the amount of free nick nacks I’ve received over the years, you can tell they care about the quality of food and service they provide. Literally my favorite restaurant in East Orange hands down??. I don’t have a favorite dish because I love everything they make. If you haven’t tried spice N things what are you waiting for, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
I have been a customer of this restaurant for a while now because it is one of the few places where I can get decent Guyanese pastries. To cut a long story short, I regret not taking pictures of the cow foot soup I ordered from them yesterday. The cow foot had hair on it and should never have been served to a paying customer. I was extremely disgusted. As Guyanese people, they should know better and clean their meats thoroughly. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Ordered 3 of basically the same item, 2 j chicken with rice, cabbage and gravy. 1 of the same except with beans. Each of the 3 rice boxes got less and less. First one had everything, second one missing plantains, third box had nothing except rice and 2 pieces of chicken.I would also like to add that I’ve frequented this at least once a month for 6-7 months. The service has gotten worse and worse.I don’t suggest coming here anymore.

I’m very delighted to leave this review especially being new to NJ. I was a fellow NY resident and I heard people raving about this particular Guyanese restaurant and I’m 100% Trini. From the breakfast to lunch/dinner and the desert is remarkable and the establishment is very family oriented which made me feel welcomed. I’ll be back. Thank you for a great experience.
I had liked this placed the first time I tried their food but after going back a few times I noticed the coworkers had a bad attitude as if they didn’t want to work. When running a business your customer service should always be welcoming and inviting.Customer service 1/10 food 4/10Wouldn’t recommend.
The food at this restaurant is exceptional! The service is excellent and the staff is very professional. It's a positive sign that they are expanding their dining area, showing they have good business practices.
Best Guyanese food everrrr!!! Must trys are the bake and corn beef, roti and curry chicken, cheese roll I loveeee, fried rice is usually a hit, curry goat better than the Jamaican spots.Food: 5/5
