I have never tried Indian chaat and a review from a Yelp friend got me tempted to give it a try. Unlike most of the restaurants on the Edison stretch of Rt 27, Spice House is on the northbound side. Signage is huge and professionally designed. Parking is plenty and easy. The interior is also well thought out with red and yellow ethnic theme. The menu contains Indian and Chinese dishes. I knew I was going to try one of the chaats so I asked the manager for his recommendation. As a result, I ordered Samosa Chana Chaat $8.95). In the process, I learned that the manager isn't Indian but Bhutanese. That may explained the color theme? It took a bit longer to prepare despite no one else was waiting...
As a fan of butter chicken and naan, I can confidently say that Spice House perfectly balances its ingredients. I've noticed that other restaurants sometimes overload their dishes with too much tomato or cream, but Spice House has mastered the proportions. Plus, the portion sizes are generous enough for two, so you can count on having leftovers to take home.

We visited this place on Saturday.. it's was medium rush place ..subtle ambience but the food was outstanding.. we ordered fried schezewan chicken momos and chicken Hyderabadi with garlic naan ... Both the dishes were delicious ... medium spice ..their momos crust and filling both were too good .... Gravy was also very delicious.... The food smelled and looked so good that I Couldn't click pictures but I am definitely going to visit here more often and going to refer this place to frnds and family... Loved the food
Culinary Hot Yoga. I’ve never tried hot yoga, but I can now understand the meat sweats.The very generous portion of butter chicken was bursting with flavors. I asked for medium heat and it delivered.I’m happy I didn’t do Bikram level!I managed to finish my plate with some sweat on my forehead, satisfied belly and no physical activity required!The Spice House lives up to its name. Bravo!

The food is average, similar to what you would find at any Indian restaurant. The ambiance doesn't justify the prices; for the same amount, you can enjoy a better atmosphere at restaurants on Oak Tree Road. The momos were unique, making it worth a visit if you're in the area, but I wouldn't recommend traveling a long distance just for them. Overall rating: 3/5.
Worst food ever. Shezwan noodles were worst with so much oil, more egg but no chicken in chicken noodles. Rashmi kabab seems like we’re frozen kabab which were reheated and given. Goat thali was served with so small bowl that it was finished in just1/4 of naan. Chole had lots of baking soda and daal was too salty. $48 I paid was total waste.
Amazing food and great service. Never ever seen fast service like this place. Food is awesome that never had any complaint so far. Ambiance is relaxing and comfortable. organized and attended many family and friends get together and all experienced same. Catering service is superb as well.
The food was excellent, although the ambiance could be improved. However, the flavors were diverse and delightful. I truly enjoyed the meal and highly recommend this restaurant. They should pay a bit more attention to maintaining hygiene when serving water. Overall, I give the food a 5/5.

Came for the weekend buffet. The gentleman at the front is courteous and the food is pretty darn good with mild heat. The chicken has some of that smoky grilled/tandoor flavor even. Would come again, it's a decent mid-range Indo-Chinese place in Edison.Food: 5/5
Delicious food and great customer service. I stopped by this place with my family on the way to the airport for our international flight. The owner was spectacular and welcoming. We couldn’t leave any food. Yummy yummy
