I like it here! There are no decent bakeries in Merrick so I have to Shrek over to Bellmore and always pleasantly surprised! I do feel they are a little pricey but you pay for quality and that's exactly what you got here, all the cakes cookies and Italian pastries are fresh and delectable! Including their specialty donuts! I also like their assortment of bread, All the girls at the counter all very friendly and always smiling, and they are open late for that sweet tooth after dinner! Perfect!
A few weeks ago my MIL brought a carrot cake from here, it was the best I ever had!!! But what really got me about... I never liked St. Joseph's pastries. Every year for 19 years my mile gets her for my husband Joseph or for the day of Saint Joseph. She brought her with her last night and I decided to try a little bit. Needless to say, I ate the whole thing and I'm not ashamed to say I had another for breakfast. DELICIOUS is an understatement!!
I was incredibly impressed with the cake that Luca and the Spiga team created for my daughter's first birthday! My husband and I approached him with a wild concept and a picture, and he went above and beyond to bring it to life. The cake not only looked beautiful but also tasted amazing! Thank you so much for all your hard work and effort in perfecting the bubbles, Luca! It was truly fabulous!
This restaurant offers the best Italian pastries and service in the world! Baking is truly an art, and these people excel at it. It's an incredible place! They started in a grocery store, and while it can be tough to meet high expectations every time, they certainly give it their all! Well done, and the staff is fantastic too. Enjoy your visit! Spiga is by far the best bakery on Long Island and the owners could not be any nicer or more involved in our local communities. They make the most amazing loaded Prosicutto Bread and all their cakes, pies, pastries and cookies are always fresh and delicious. Won't go anywhere else!
The wedding cake for Luca was out of this world! Everyone adored it, and it exceeded my dreams. From the shimmering blue fondant to the intricately crafted constellations and trees, everything was simply perfect. Thank you!
The best prosciutto bread I've ever had. The Italian Twistbrot is from this world. Extremely friendly staff with great customer service!! Fan for life. I'm back 1000 times.
