We were at spiral Japanese cuisine for a graduation dinner last Saturday I ordered the bento box with tempura shrimp and veggies, grilled salmon and pork katsu that came with mixed greens salad and miso soup which were all delicious and fresh My daughter ordered bento box with sashimi, chicken teriyaki and tempura My husband ordered bento box with tempura chicken teriyaki and salmon which he also enjoyed Everyone at the party of over 50 guests also enjoyed their meal I also want to mention that their calamari was one of the best calamari I had ever Only thing is that the meal came a little late maybe because of the amount of guests that came all the same time I definitely recommend this plac...
I've only gotten take out from this store but frequently order party size platters since the quality of the sushi is just excellent. Fresh fish roe and bonito flakes and top quality seafood. It is a little on the pricey side (just 1 of the 8 pc rollsruns anywhere from 18 25$ but it's worth it. Love this place. The only thing I dislike are the seared rolls. I got one thatwas a little burnt on the top (maybe from a torch , and they tended to have a butane aftertaste.
Their tempura and katsu was very good. The curry has a bit of kick and not overly sweet, surprised it had beef in it. The rolls and nigiri was a mixed bag where some combination didn't match and some ingredients was well prepared and others not as fresh. All dishes came out really fast, wished it was paced a little better allowing us to finish the appetizers first so we didn't have to hurry to clear space for the entrees.

The restaurant is ok for main Japanese dishes, but don't expect anything too authentic, or even that flavorful. The sticky rice wasn't that sticky, the meat dish wasn't that meaty. But the salmon sashimi was good, and the tempura wasn't bad. There's lotsof seating and the staff was friendly. It'll get you by when you need a Japanese meal fix, but there's not anything special tocome for.
The service is quick and the sushi rolls are of good quality, but they are a bit pricey. The Hokkaido scallop ramen is also quite delicious. The highlight of the meal is that they provide a coupon for free rolls on your next visit. Overall, I would rate the food a 4 out of 5.
I want to like this restaurant because it is in the shopping mall with plenty of parking, good location. Unfortunately, the sushi and/or rolls are very disappointing. Why? The rice is way too soft and doesn't taste properly. This is so essential andthe rest doesn't matter.
Despite low ratings here on yelp. This is one of my favorite places to eatt in Daly City. You got to know what to order. Go for a special sushi rolls! They are the best. Service is fine, never had a problem in 4 years. Just giving my support to a local favorite place

Amazing food with routine and special sushi items. The seaweed is one of the most aromatic I've tasted. Terrific atmosphere with two TVs. The place is very well staffed.
